The aftermath of Hurricane Sandy has certainly hit the properties in Rockaways in Queens. Once a place of beautiful oceanfront properties, the roster of properties look now look grim. So much so that residents are selling their properties “as is.”

After Sandy, the buying and selling of homes in the Rockaways has grinded to a halt. Most homeowners are offering the badly damaged homes to buyers as the hurricane has left them.
